One of CFC’s most exciting teams are looking for someone with previous underwriting or broking experience to join them to progress their career in Insurance. Our US Technology Underwriting Team is at the forefront of underwriting emerging SME technology risks in the US and has enjoyed rapid growth over the last few years.
This has opened a new opportunity for an ambitious professional who is excited by the prospect of joining a fast-growing, innovative organisation. We offer a cross-class package solution including E&O, Cyber and General Liability – giving you broad exposure.

We are consistently exploring developing technology and looking for new ways to provide first class support to the world’s most creative and disruptive new businesses, whilst understanding how quickly the risks facing these emerging industries can evolve.
You will be involved in all aspects of underwriting including new business and renewal underwriting for E&Odriven business in the US. You will develop and underwrite profitable business, working closely with your manager and underwriting colleagues in a variety of areas, including new business development, complex renewal accounts, building broker relationships and responding to tech queries from other product line underwriters.
We are looking for a driven self-starter with a strong work ethic who can contribute to a fast-paced working environment and excel within a high performance team.The successful candidate will possess a sales and service-oriented approach, demonstrate confidence and professionalism both on the phone and in meetings with brokers, and show a clear drive and capability to support the growth of the team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven experience within the insurance industry with a background in underwriting or broking in E&O, Tech/Cyber or Financial Lines. Strong business development skills are essential and exposure to US business would be an advantage but not a necessity. Given the emerging and evolving nature of our class of insurance, a successful candidate will have an interest in this area and be keen to stay on top of current affairs within the industry.
You will be expected to work at a high pace and intensity that underpins the successful framework of the CFC business and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support our ambitious growth plans.
