The Role – UK Proposals Manager

Manage the strategy, development, creative design, review, completion and submission of RFIs / RFPs, Proposals, Pitches, Discovery sessions by working closely with business development leads across Continental Europe and Middle East territories.

What You Will Be Doing – UK Proposals Manager
  • Taking responsibility for the development, production and sign off of bids, proposals and pitches. Develop and maintain a Continental Europe and Middle East content knowledge bank accessible to business development leads (Previous Bids & Proposals content / Modular Value Proposition Library / Toolkits / Templates).
  • Proactively engage with the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) and work towards completion of APMP certification.
  • Apply UK best practices and processes for bids, proposals and pitches being led out of Continental Europe and Middle East territories.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with all with territory leads and business development teams across Continental Europe and Middle East to develop the strength of the team’s bids, proposals and pitching performance.
  • Develop and maintain a 6-month pipeline of key opportunities and provide pre-bid support / bid-no bid assessment as appropriate.
  • Assist with drafting response content, copy smoothing and sourcing information to ensure responses are produced as compliant with client instructions.
  • Take responsibility for managing the downloading / interaction / uploading of documentation through client portals when applicable.
  • Prepare teams for pitch presentations and create visually strong slide decks based on agreed storyboards.
  • Perform post award feedback with client.
  • Develop a Modular Proposition Library and Proposition Toolkit to assist with drafting proposals and empowering business development teams across Continental Europe and Middle East territories to self-serve where possible.
  • Ensure brands guidelines and sign off protocols are complied with when producing bids, proposals and pitches.
  • Provide presentation deck / pack support to the President of Europe & Middle East for executive level internal presentations.

  • Strong written, presentation and creative communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Success in previous roles, where working closely with subject matter experts, business development teams, client account directors and executive leaders in a business was a regular occurrence.
  • Work effectively as part of a wider bids, proposals and pitches team.
  • Respond quickly to requests for ad-hoc support.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A positive outlook and a good team player.
  • Flexible in time availability and travel.
  • Proactively taking responsibility for creation of knowledge banks, reports, CRM platform and escalations.
  • Experience coordinating responses and implementation programs.
  • Able to Build and maintains positive working relationships within the team and with colleagues across the business.

  • Ability to work in an autonomous role.
  • Ability to create a positive cohesive inclusive relationship with all stakeholders.
