Job summary

A leading microscopy instruments manufacturer is seeking a UK Field Service Engineer to handle the installation, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment across the UK and Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a relevant scientific or engineering degree and experience as a Field Service Engineer. This role requires regular travel and strong communication skills. You will teach clients how to effectively operate their equipment. A valid driver's license and fluency in English are essential.

UK Field Service Engineer - Laboratory Equipment

Location: UK and Ireland

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 base + Company Car

The company is a leading manufacturer of Microscopy Instruments. Their technologies are integral to scientific research and industrial applications worldwide serving a variety of fields.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairing of instruments across the UK and Ireland.
• Teach customers how to operate and maintain their systems effectively.
• Perform diagnostics, address potential issues proactively, and ensure system reliability.
• The position is home-based in England, with regular travel across the UK.
• Keep accurate records of service activities and generate reports for customers and internal teams.
• Working closely with the other Service Engineers in the territory.

Requirements

• Educated in a Scientific or Engineer field; Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering; or related field.
• Field Service Engineer experience is required.
• Comfortable with regular travel.
• Valid Drivers licence and fluent English is essential.
