Are you a skilled UI Layout Programmer with a passion for creating intuitive, high-quality user interfaces for immersive gaming experiences?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team developing a new console-focused realistic racing game, where you’ll play a key role in transforming design mock-ups into functional, visually engaging in-game layouts.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborating closely with the Design team to translate UI mock-ups and concepts into interactive, on-screen layouts.
• Prototyping UI concepts quickly and efficiently to validate and refine design ideas.
• Developing fully functional layouts in Python, ensuring smooth integration with wider UI frameworks and systems.
• Working with Design and UI Art teams to maintain creative alignment and support the overall user experience vision.
• Understanding and managing dependencies between gameplay, design, and UI to ensure seamless progress and minimal blockers.
• Testing, debugging, profiling, and optimising UI code for performance and quality.
• Providing clear and thorough technical documentation for all UI implementations.
• Supporting the technical roadmap for future titles by contributing to UI framework enhancements and best practices.

What we’re looking for:

• A strong passion for video games and a drive to deliver exceptional player experiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in game development as a UI programmer, with at least one shipped title.
• High proficiency in Python, with experience developing UI layouts and frameworks.
• Familiarity with game development tools such as Visual Studio, JIRA, and Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an eye for detail in both design and technical implementation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
