Job summary

A leading AI solutions company in Oxford seeks a UAV Autonomous Navigation Engineer to develop and test an innovative UAV copilot system. The ideal candidate will have experience with UAV autopilots, strong coding skills in Python and C++, and at least three years of commercial software development experience. You will integrate systems across various platforms, enhancing navigation capabilities and supporting rapid prototyping. Qualifications

  • Experience developing code for UAV autopilots, especially Ardupilot or PX4.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and C++ with experience in Linux development environments.
  • Three years of work history developing software commercially.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate the autonomy copilot with various partner autopilots and platforms.
  • Develop features to enhance navigation and decision-making for the autonomous copilot.
  • Support rapid prototyping for new fixed-wing and multirotor platforms.

Skills

Experience with UAV autopilots
Proficiency in Python
Proficiency in C++
Experience with MAVLink frameworks
Linux development environment experience
Knowledge of ROS development
Experience with computer vision

Education

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
