UASC Senior Practice Coordinator | 8879 | Secondment Opportunity / Fixed term Contract until 31 July 2026 | 37 hours per week | £26,403 to £28,142 per annum | Grade E | County Hall

Role

Senior Practice Coordinator (Administrator) - Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Team. An opportunity to provide support to the Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children Service, enabling operational Team Managers and Social Care Practitioners to spend more time undertaking direct work with children, young people and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to operational Team Managers and Social Care Practitioners to enable direct work with children, young people and families.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and strong organisational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise work and problem-solve.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, explain technical issues in plain English, and analyse and interpret data.
  • Maintain excellent keyboard and ICT skills in Word, Excel and databases; organise meetings and take/produce minutes.
  • Be aware of data protection and information management requirements.
  • Act as point of contact for internal and external customers and stakeholders, engaging with professionals from partner agencies (e.g. Home Office) to support service delivery for children and young people.
  • Provide a focused, consistent business support service to managers and staff as part of a well-established team; participate in full training.
