Overview

SEIN CIC are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals and will possess the ability to communicate effectively with children of various ages. This role is essential in providing personalised support to enhance learning experiences, particularly for those requiring special education assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on‑one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure understanding.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other educators and specialists to support students with special educational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in SEN tutoring or teaching, particularly with children.
  • Experience in a child with communication difference/ experiences mutism.
  • Knowledge of special education practices is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Qualified teacher in early years teaching, however adaptable to older learners.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating young learners.
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Understanding and experience in challenging behaviour
