As a Treasury Funding Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and sustaining our long‑term funding position. You will lead on the negotiation and execution of new funding arrangements, including the operation of our European Medium‑Term Note (EMTN) programme, and support our £2.6bn debt portfolio. You will also manage credit ratings, investor relations and banking relationships, helping ensure we maintain strong external confidence in our financial position.

This role offers the chance to work in a complex, dynamic, and high‑profile environment, collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business and representing us externally to investors, lenders and credit rating agencies. You will bring deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and confidently.

Key Duties
Funding & Capital Markets

Lead the setup, ongoing management and operation of our EMTN Programme, enabling efficient and timely capital markets issuance.

Oversee the preparation, negotiation and execution of all funding and loan documentation, including amendments and renewals.

Identify market opportunities and advise on the timing, structure and execution of new capital raising activities.

Review debt and equity structures to ensure alignment with financial strategy and risk appetite.

Provide specialist advice on corporate debt structures to support major investments and group initiatives.

Treasury Compliance & Governance

Ensure full compliance with all loan and bond conditions, including covenant monitoring, on‑lending rules, and potential events of default.

Assess the impact of business strategy on lender consent requirements and secure approvals where required.

Maintain accurate, compliant and robust documentation across treasury activities.

Lead the annual update of our long‑term strategic treasury plan for the Group Finance Committee.

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare financial data, strategic analysis and presentation materials for credit rating agencies, investors and banks.

Deliver high‑quality insights to support investment decisions and funding strategies.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with external lenders, investors, credit rating agencies and legal advisers.

Collaborate effectively across Finance, Development and wider business teams to ensure alignment between operational plans and our strategic objectives.

Sustainability & ESG Finance

Lead the update and management of Sustainable Financing Framework for future bond issuances.

Support the collection, validation and reporting of ESG metrics for lenders and investors.

Advise on sustainability‑linked financing options and ensure compliance with ESG‑related commitments.
