Traveling Service Technician

Pay: $30-35/hr.

Shift: Days; some weekends, on-call as needed

Travel: Required; applicants should live in the York, Harrisburg, Allentown, or Lancaster, PA areas.

Description:

  • Cannonball Recruiting is seeking talented Service Technicians with electrical, mechanical and conveyor repair experience. The Service Technician is responsible for traveling to customer sites as needed, sometimes with little notice, to service and repair conveyor systems. Due to the emergency nature of this position working weekends and being on-call are required.

Requirements:

  • Able to travel to customer sites as needed, sometimes with little notice, in order to service and repair conveyor systems.
  • Work in the shop as needed to ensure the timely completion and delivery of projects.
  • Uses various hand tools and shop machinery (drills, saws, shears, etc.).
  • Have the ability to use various hand tools, shop machinery (drills, saws, shears, etc.), forklifts, and cranes.
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  • Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Physical Demands:

  • Substantial service experience with conveyor and material handling systems
  • Current, valid driver's license with a reasonably safe driving history
  • Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
  • Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments
  • Have the required tools of the trade
  • Willingness for overtime and travel
  • Maintains professional conduct at all times, particularly when at customer sites
  • Must be able to complete the essential functions of this position: stand, walk, climb, crouch, stoop, kneel, and bend
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time on a regular basis
  • Operating tools, performing mechanical or skilled trade tasks
