Job summary

A specialist education provider in Slough is seeking a Social and Emotional Support Worker to provide tailored emotional support to students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges. This full-time role involves creating support plans, tracking progress, and collaborating with teachers and external professionals. Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural challenges is preferred.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group emotional support to students.
  • Create individual support plans with the SEN team.
  • Track emotional and behavioural progress.
