Job summary

An educational recruitment agency is seeking a dedicated Learning Support & Intervention Practitioner to support vulnerable learners in Colchester. This hybrid role combines responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant and a Tutor, helping students overcome barriers to learning. Qualifications

  • Must have experience working in secondary education.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-perceptive practice (TPP) and its impact.
  • Experience with students with SEMH and SEND preferred.
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence for travel.

Responsibilities

  • Support individualized education programmes.
  • Assess students' progress and plan next steps.
  • Support students in overcoming barriers related to trauma.
  • Develop and deliver teaching that nurtures resilience.
  • Assist in planning and delivering structured lessons.
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress.
