Overview

Transport Administrator / Supervisor – Atherton | £12.57 per hour | Full-time, Ongoing | Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 6:00pm. Flexible People Ltd are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established client based in Atherton, a leading distributor of wholesale cleaning products. We'r e looking for a motivated and experienced Transport Administrator/Supervisor to support and oversee key aspects of the daily transport operation.

This is a pivotal role that goes beyond general administration — ideal for someone with a solid background in transport or logistics who is ready to take a step up in responsibility, with some duties typically associated with a Transport Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily transport operations to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
  • Print, process, and manage delivery notes and routing schedules
  • Monitor driver performance and delivery progress throughout the day
  • Act as first point of contact for drivers, addressing route queries and delivery issues
  • Update delivery information and amend records accurately within internal systems
  • Liaise with warehouse, planning, and customer service teams to ensure smooth logistics flow
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and internal policies
  • Assist in investigating delivery discrepancies or failures
  • Compile and present transport performance data and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate filing systems and records for audits and reporting
  • Provide general administrative support as required
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a transport or logistics administration role (essential)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Confident communicator - both verbal and written
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Comfortable liaising with drivers and operational staff in a fast-paced environment
