DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily transportation and logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
  • To manage the shipments from warehouse to end-use, planning and scheduling routes as required
  • Track and trace orders using functional systems such as an In-house tracking software
  • Monitor and report on transportation costs, ensuring cost-effective shipping methods are a priority consideration
  • Monitor, oversee and report maintenance and repair schedules for all vehicles and relatable equipment
  • Keep organised records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders, ensuring shipping documents are properly filed and logged.
  • Ensure all safety records, compliance and regulations are up-to-date and in line with company policies and legislation, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices

  • Previous and demonstrative experience as a Transport Manager, within a logistics environment or similar role with a CPC prefered.

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage, organise and train direct reports
  • A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received
