Overview

We are looking for a driven Project Delivery Manager to lead and manage the project delivery team, responsible for the successful delivery of the UK School’s conference and training programme (circa. 500 activities per annum) and other associated projects where required.

The Training & Conference Project Delivery Manager Opportunity

The role’s objectives are to deliver a high-quality training programme supporting the strategy and targets of the UK School, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and supporting the Supply Chain Sustainability School as the go-to for sustainability training in the built environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and oversee a large-scale training programme (500+ workshops, webinars, and conferences annually), both virtual and face-to-face, with quality, budget control, and timely delivery.
  • Lead on the design and delivery of major events, including the annual School Summit, 20+ virtual conferences, 120+ webinars, and 200+ workshops.
  • Manage trainer directories, training catalogues, and logistics to meet engagement and learner targets.
  • Collaborate with groups such as marketing, customer success, and content teams to align programmes with business priorities and KPIs.
  • Monitor feedback, report on outcomes, and drive continuous improvement and innovation in training delivery.
  • Support international expansion (Ireland, USA, Australia) by providing training programme expertise.
  • Manage supplier relationships, budgets, and negotiate contracts where required.
  • Coach and develop team members, ensuring resources align with strategic goals.
  • Contribute to process improvements, reporting, and use of project management tools (e.g., Monday.com).
About You
  • A strong people manager with project management experience and a track record of developing compelling conference agendas; a good understanding of marketing with a commercial outlook is desirable.
  • Strong leadership with a focus on upskilling and enabling the team to develop their skills.
  • Owns delivery against targets, solves problems, and manages workload proactively.
  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and engaging with colleagues to build consensus.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and thrive in a busy environment.
  • Cost control and budget management with a commercial outlook; ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to analyse data and use results to make recommendations to the business.
  • Clear verbal and written communication with excellent presentation skills.
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work flexibly and creatively.
