Overview

Trainee Technical Building Consultant

Salary: £27,900 + Up to 6% performance bonus

Working location: Home Based

Employment type: Full time, Permanent

Job summary:

As part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionally qualified staff, ensure the retention and development of both external and internal customers by the application of specialist technical knowledge and understanding of NHBC Standards.

Assist in the delivery of an efficient and effective service to NHBC in accordance with the business area Service Level Agreements and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure NHBC, customer, statutory and warranty requirements are met.

What you’ll be doing:

Identify and manage key risks on new build residential projects to mitigate the risk of warranty claims. Checking building plans and working with builders to apply NHBC Standards, complete risk assessments, and develop tailored technical risk management plans. Oversee projects through dynamic risk profiling, co-ordinate specialist input, support site inspections, negotiate with stakeholders, and contribute to technical presentations.

  • An appreciation of the requirements and application of NHBC Standards.
  • IT literate with the ability to use a range of software programs
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated to attain professional qualification
  • Positive attitude
  • Able to work with limited supervision
  • Driving licence (desirable)
