This role includes assisting with patient care duties under supervision and participating in a development program to advance your skills. About The Role: As a Trainee Nursing Assistant at HC-One, you will be a role model as you lead by example to embody the quality of supreme kindness in every aspect of your work in our Memory Care, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will ensure our residents’ care planning arrangements are delivered impeccably, offering residents a sense of choice and independence. You’ll be attentive to resident wellbeing in all tasks, including nursing tasks delegated to you, reporting accidents, or supporting someone showing dementia symptoms.

HC-One has created a Trainee Nursing Assistant role with a development program that upskills and trains Senior Care Assistants to undertake more responsibility and develop the skills needed to be a Nursing Assistant. This role will assist in tasks such as administering medicines, care of wounds, catheter care and other direct clinical tasks, under the supervision and guidance of the qualified nurse. You will receive a salary increase once you have completed your program.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and it is important to recognise signs that may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
