Job description
Overview

As a Trainee Nursing Assistant at HC-One, you will be a role model by leading with kindness in our Memory Care, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Residents are people with their own stories, and you will help ensure care planning arrangements are delivered impeccably. You will support residents’ choices and independence, and keep resident wellbeing at the forefront whether you are taking on delegated nursing tasks, reporting an accident, or spending time with someone showing symptoms of dementia.

Main duties of the job

We have created a new Trainee Nursing Assistant role as the first of its kind, with a development program to upskill Senior Care Assistants to take on more responsibility and develop the skills needed to be a Nursing Assistant. This role will assist in tasks such as administering medicines, care of wounds, catheter care and other direct clinical tasks, under the supervision and guidance of the qualified nurse. You will receive a salary increase upon completing the program.

Qualifications
  • S/NVQ or Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care
Experience
  • Experience as a Senior Carer or in a similar position with leadership responsibilities, especially around administering medicines and leading a shift (minimum 2 years in Health & Social Care).
Additional Criteria
  • Knowledge and understanding of the person-centred care planning process and the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
