Shifts: 40 hours Mon - Fri 08:00 to 16:30

About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Trainee NDT Workshop Technician. This client is a leading European MRO which has been operating for over 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and helping their employees progress within their roles. They offer in-house component repair, overhaul and maintenance of a range of aircraft types.

Key Responsibilities
  • To train in their NDT department and in the cylinder shop to obtain accredited NDT qualifications and also DOT qualifications.
  • Non-destructive testing of various aircraft components in accordance with original manufacturers manuals and instructions.
  • Inspection and testing of various oxygen cylinders in accordance with original manufacturers manuals and instructions.
  • Ensure quality standards and procedures are observed and maintained.
  • Establish and maintain a legally compliant and safe working environment.
  • Prepare workshop reports and material reviews to allow the purchasing and commercial departments to create customer estimates.
  • Understand customer needs and ensure these are always met/exceeded.
  • Help with training on all team members.
  • Knowledge of the MOE and company procedures.
  • Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company.
Candidate Requirements
  • Must be over 21 to obtain non-destructive testing approval as per civil aviation requirements.
  • Have a good eye for detail.
  • Enjoy learning, be a quick learner, and be prepared to take exams; must be literate.
  • Be computer literate and have a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Be a team player and can listen to trainers and learn from their extensive experience.
  • Have a keen interest in aviation.
