We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated radiographer with an interest in, or experience of Breast Imaging to join our friendly multi-disciplinary team at The Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust's Mermaid Centre. The Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust's (RCHT) Breast Unit within the Mermaid Centre provides comprehensive breast care to patients from Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The successful applicant will work in the department and on the screening units, which serve the county. The centre has a variety of staff roles and encourage progression in each of these.
Working as a mammographer will enable you to be involved in a variety of examinations including, but not exhaustively, mammograms, stereo interventions, ultrasound interventions, follow up and screening mammograms, tomograms and family history clinics. Completing the PGC in 9-12 months with dedicated study time and mentor will be your main target for the first year in post. Quality Assurance tests form an important part of the ongoing safety of equipment and are a requirement for all of our imaging staff to undertake.
