Overview

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in leak detection activities across the Southwest region.
  • Using supplied technology, record acoustic sound files across a water distribution network using digital equipment.
  • Work independently within urban and suburban environments.
  • Liaise with supervisors and work to achieve targets.
  • Perform a manual role that may involve lifting, stretching and bending; experience of driving long hours is beneficial.
Qualifications
  • Trainee Field Technician skill and experience beneficial to this role:
  • Used to working outdoors and interacting with members of the public.
  • Self-motivated with an eye for detail and a focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • A full clean UK driving licence.
  • Ability to prioritise a variety of tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Water Hygiene, Street works and Manual handling accreditation – full training will be provided.
  • The successful Field Technician must possess:
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A full UK manual Driving Licence; a vehicle and fuel card will be provided for work purposes.
