Trainee Classroom Support Assistant – SEND Focus

Location: South Shields

Pay: £90–£110 per day

Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are recruiting a Trainee Classroom Support Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in an inclusive education setting.

This role is suitable for individuals with no formal qualifications who have experience supporting children through voluntary work, youth groups or family support.

You will receive guidance and support while developing your skills in a classroom environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with SEND in lessons
  • Assisting with classroom routines
  • Providing emotional reassurance and encouragement
  • Supporting learning engagement
  • Working closely with teaching staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
