A healthcare institution in Bath is seeking a Trainee Biomedical Scientist to join the Haematology laboratory team. We are looking for an enthusiastic trainee Biomedical Scientist to join our Haematology laboratory team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional and well established team that is focused on the patients we serve and the hospital services we support.
The role of a biomedical scientist is to perform investigations or process tissue and body fluids which are used to diagnose, monitor and treat patients. Under the direction and supervision of qualified staff the post holder will gain broad experience in the delivery of routine and specialist diagnostic laboratory services in accordance with national and professional standards.
The post-holder will be expected to complete an agreed programme of training, over a period of 12 months, within the Haematology laboratory, which has been accredited for training purposes. The training will be delivered in all aspects of Biomedical Science to achieve Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
This is a fixed-term position for a period of 1 year and the training will need to be completed within that period.
To undertake Biomedical Scientist training which will involve working in all sections of the Haematology laboratory.
