Job description
Overview

We're looking for an experienced Traffic Management Manager to take responsibility for leading and coordinating our traffic management projects. This is a key role where you'll be ensuring our operations run safely, efficiently and to the highest standards, while supporting and developing your team to deliver excellent results.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the successful delivery of traffic management projects, ensuring progress is on track and risks are identified and addressed.
  • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring protocols are followed without exception.
  • Prepare and present accurate project reports and documentation for stakeholders.
  • Manage the administration of timesheets for both direct employees and subcontractors.
  • Plan, manage and coordinate work schedules to meet operational requirements.
  • Issue and control order numbers for external traffic management hires, ensuring best value is achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal procedures and external legislative requirements.
  • Lead, mentor and support your team through coaching, regular one-to-ones, performance management and annual appraisals.
  • Deliver team briefings and toolbox talks to reinforce a culture of safety, quality and accountability.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of performance and quality within the team.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in traffic management and project delivery, with a proven ability to lead teams and coordinate complex operations.
  • Organised and proactive manager with strong communication skills, able to balance priorities while ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Supportive leader who enjoys mentoring others and creating an environment where the team can thrive.
  • Full UK driving licence is required along with Lantra tickets and NRSWA accreditation.
