Qualifications

  • NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in core subject is required; NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing if plumbing is core.
  • G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS) or currently undertaking the qualification.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Good communication and customer care skills; ability to work to deadlines.
  • Valid UK driving licence; role involves driving on company business.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.
  • Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery.
  • Provide accurate and timely information on the progress of works.

Overview

Role

Trade Operative – Joiner
Location: Glasgow – covering Central and West Scotland
Salary: £33,049 per year (rising to £34,788 per year after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm

Responsibilities
  • Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocked when needed
  • Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, resolving problems or initiating the means of resolution, while keeping customers informed
  • Provide accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
Skills and Experience
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in core subject is required; NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing if plumbing is core; Unvented
  • G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS) or currently undertaking the qualification; original certification must be shown at interview (copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted)
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Good communication and customer care skills; ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads
  • Valid UK driving licence; role involves driving on company business
