We usually meet from 10am to 2:30pm. Tasks include litter picking, cutting back overgrown vegetation, painting locks, mending towpaths, repairing fencing, and many other related activities. All tools and equipment will be provided, as well as tea and coffee—just bring some lunch.
Exact locations and meeting points are sent in advance of each session once you sign up below.
Start date: Thursday 23rd January - then every Thursday
This group will join forces with the Weaver TT on the first Thursday of each month, and with the Middlewich TT on the second Thursday.
The Towpath Taskforce offers a great opportunity to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new skills, hear about other volunteer opportunities, or simply spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
There are no formal skills required, and you will have the chance to volunteer in many unique and beautiful environments.
