Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Wales is seeking a Theatre Assistant/Health Care Support Worker to join their team in Ysbyty Gwynedd Operating Theatres. The ideal candidate will provide vital support for patient care within the operating theatre, ensuring safety and high standards of care. Candidates with good communication and teamwork skills, as well as a basic understanding of the healthcare environment, are encouraged to apply. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential. Join us in making a difference in patient care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for providing support for the delivery of high standard care to patients within the theatre complex and to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the theatre.

The post holder will provide safe transportation service for all patients coming to theatre and back to the ward area and also within the operating theatre complex.The post holder will ensure that care is of a high standard, is non-discriminatory and non-prejudicial and will carry out all tasks in accordance with unit policies and procedures.
