Overview
CDM Recruitment are working with a leading renewable energy organisation who are looking to add an experienced Electrical Test Technician to their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business at the forefront of innovation, supporting the testing and development of cutting-edge drivetrain technology.
Responsibilities
- Install, set up and demobilise test equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering documentation.
- Support Test Engineers in operating equipment to deliver customer test plans to time and budget.
- Carry out routine maintenance, fault-finding and record-keeping of site facilities and mechanical plant.
- Guide and support maintenance teams and calibration of measurement systems.
- Assist in developing new testing techniques and improving operational processes.
- Ensure full compliance with QHSE policies and actively promote a safe working environment.
- Occasionally support projects and trials at customer sites, including off-site locations.
Key Requirements
- Time-served Electrical Technician with strong practical experience.
- Minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Current BS#removed#th Edition qualification.
- City & Guilds #removed# Level 3 Award.
- Current Electro-technical Certificate Scheme Card.
- Experience in installation, fault-finding and maintenance of plant/machinery.
- Valid forklift truck licence and overhead travelling crane certificate.
- Awareness of HSE requirements including PUWER/LOLER regulations (desirable).
Skills & Attributes
- Computer literate, confident with Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to occasionally work at height, in confined spaces, and outdoors.
