Testing Lead – Dynamics 365 Deployment FTC 12 Months

Role Overview

The Testing Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of Dynamics 365 deployments. Working closely with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders, the Testing Lead is responsible for coordinating and executing testing activities throughout the deployment lifecycle. This role is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of software testing principles who are eager to progress their careers within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem. This role will also take the lead in supporting the Automated Testing for our ERP technical landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, review, and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to Dynamics 365 functionalities and business requirements.
• Coordinate and execute manual and automated testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Log, track, and manage defects using appropriate tools, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Support the development and execution of data migration and system integration test scenarios.
• Monitor testing progress and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and project meetings to represent the testing function.
• Assist in the creation of test summary reports and contribute to lessons learnt sessions post-deployment.
• Champion best practices in testing and help drive continuous improvement within the testing process.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience of testing in technology projects.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Some experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar enterprise business applications is desirable.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and liaise effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced project setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• ISTQB Foundation Level or similar certification (advantageous but not essential).
