Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking temporary HR Advisors in the East Midlands to support a public sector organisation during staff absence. The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities, with hours typically Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Role & Responsibilities

• Provide professional HR advice, support and training across a broad range of HR matters
• Support managers and stakeholders at all levels and contribute to the development of positive employment
• Assist with recruitment, induction and onboarding processes
• Support managers with employee relations matters at all levels
• Promote a positive and customer-focused HR service
• Contribute to the development of HR strategy, policy and service improvement
• Support the development of a positive employment and performance management culture
• Deliver HR training and briefings where required
• Build effective working relationships with stakeholders and customers

Skills & Experience

• Significant experience as a generalist operational HR Advisor
• Proven experience managing a wide range of employee relations issues
• Previous experience working within a Local Authority or wider public sector organisation
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and advise managers
• Customer-focused with a professional and pragmatic approach

Vacancy Summary

Job Type: Temporary for approx. 12 weeks with potential to extend

There are two opportunities available as temporary HR Advisors to support the HR service during a period of staff absence: 1 x Full-time post (37 hours per week) to cover ongoing long term sickness; 1 x Part-time post (0.5 FTE or 2.5 days per week) to support short term business needs. For the part-time role, hours are worked over 2.5 full days per week with flexibility around which days, but core business hours between 8:30am and 5:00pm must be met.
