Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (Temp to Perm)
Salary: £170 - £250 per day (depending on experience)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Teach Art, Design and Technology to KS3/KS4 students in an alternative provision setting

About the school

A specialist alternative provision supporting students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs and those unable to thrive in mainstream schools. Focus on practical, creative learning and small group teaching.

About the role

Deliver creative and hands-on lessons in Art & Design and/or Technology. Engage students through project-based learning, promoting self-expression and skill development.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Art, Design and/or Technology across KS3 and KS4
  • Develop practical, accessible lessons to suit diverse learners
  • Foster creativity and confidence through personalised support
  • Work effectively with support staff and pastoral teams
Requirements
  • QTS, QTLS, or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Art, DT, or a creative subject at secondary level
  • Understanding of SEMH needs or experience in alternative provision (desirable)
  • Creative, flexible, and inclusive teaching approach
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
