Job summary

A leading provider in defense training is seeking a Technical Trainer in the Aldermaston area to ensure the competence of all parties engaged with Defence Nuclear Materials. The role includes delivering training, preparing documentation, and managing stakeholders effectively. Candidates must possess excellent presentation and organizational skills, be able to hold a Training Qualification at Level 3 or above, and be willing to travel for off-site training. Competitive salary range from £35,950 to £53,930 offered.

Qualifications

Job description

AWE is looking for a Technical Trainer to join the Training Group ensuring the competence of all parties involved in activities regarding Defence Nuclear Materials conveyed by Road, Rail and Routine Logistical Flights.

Location - Reading / Basingstoke area

Package - £35,950 - £53,930 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

What will you be required to do?
  • Provide sound advice and guidance to customers and stakeholders.
  • Deliver training to stakeholders' satisfaction, whilst ensuring that contract conditions and standards are met.
  • Provide clear, concise and appropriate communications to stakeholder groups.
  • Prepare accurate training documentation and information, whilst ensuring that the relevant Ministry of Defence and AWE regulatory requirements are adhered to.
  • Identify and manage stakeholders appropriately.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of Defence Nuclear Material Convoy training projects, providing insight from area of expertise.
  • Function as an interface between AWE and the Ministry of Defence to ensure that training requirements within the Nuclear Transport Training Manual Policy are met.
  • Development and delivery of Defence Nuclear Material Initial Training, Role Specific Training and Continuation Training for all Convoy personnel (AWE, Ministry of Defence Police, Ministry of Defence and Military Personnel).
  • Plan, prepare and assist in the delivery of Defence Nuclear Materials Road and Rail Training Weeks.
  • Verify evidence collated in Competence Based Qualification portfolios.
  • Develop, prepare and deliver Defence Nuclear Material Convoy Training interventions as and when required.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:

  • Must be willing to attend off site training to support the delivery of field training events and other off-site training. This will require overnight stays of up to a week's duration for each event.
