Salary: £42,276- £44,763

Hours: 35 per week

Location: Allanwater House/Mobile

Stirling Council, Housing Services are seeking to recruit a Technical Supervisor to oversee our plumbing section. The position is within our Capital and Technical Team however, you will be expected to be flexible in your approach to accommodate our varying work demands. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out property inspections to identify repairs and remedial work. In addition the successful candidate will be required to identify pre-planned preventative maintenance requirements and capital investment works. The position also entitles the day to day management of our plumbing trades and on occasion overseeing and managing sub-contractors as well as liaising with clients and customers.

The successful candidate must have good communication skills, be competent in a variety of Microsoft applications with a knowledge health and Safety legislation. They must also be capable of carrying out management and performance reports. You will also participate in and deliver tool box talks and safety updates to staff.

A knowledge of construction and experience in plumbing supervision is an essential requirement along with a knowledge of mechanical services and recognised plumbing qualifications. Up to date gas qualifications and knowledge of water safety byelaws and protocols, including temperature monitoring, flushing regimes, and legionella prevention measures are also an essential requirement.

If successful you will be responsible for providing a professional service with the goal being to ensure it is delivered as efficiently and economically as possible.

The successful candidate will be required to participate in our Standby/On Call rota. A driving licence is essential.
