Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Manager for a well respected food manufacturer to oversee and optimise the organisation's technical operations.

Overview
  • To lead the technical compliance function of the site ensuring legislative requirements for food safety within the production environment.
  • To interface directly with the customer regarding compliance to food safety and quality issues.
  • To ensure that procedures are in place to manage food safety and quality systems e.g. GMP, HACCP.
  • To interface with external bodies with regards to customer and 3rd party audits and follow up any non conformance in a timely manner.
  • To ensure all preparations are in place for annual BRCGS audit.
Audit Responsibilities
  • Audit non-conformance - 3rd party, customer
  • Complaints and customer rejections
  • Staff development
Requirements
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Experience in product development and manufacturing processes.
