A leading defense contractor in the UK is seeking a Technical Information Engineer to generate and update XML and SGML based technical documentation. Successful candidates will possess a STEM degree and have experience in an engineering environment. Responsibilities include reviewing documentation, preparing delivery docs, and authoring Data Modules. The role offers competitive salary up to £51,000, along with hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

You’ll be joining a dedicated team of five highly experienced engineers who collaborate closely to deliver accurate, high-quality technical information. As part of this supportive and knowledgeable group, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and progress into a more senior role as your skills develop.
Working under the guidance of the Principal Technical Author, you’ll collaborate with our existing team of Technical Authors and ILS Engineers. Together, you’ll gather and interpret design data, verify technical details, and produce precise XML-based documentation that meets current standards and customer deadlines. This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork is key to success.
