Job description

We are seeking compassionate, proactive, and reliable Support Workers/Housekeepers to assist a friendly and independent woman in her 30s living with hEDS, ME, and Autism. This varied role combines personal care, housekeeping, and community support, involving work both at home and in the community to promote a comfortable and engaging daily life.

Shifts:
  1. Weekday morning shifts (5 days/week, 3 hours each):
    • Cleaning, tidying, and general housekeeping
    • Assistance with personal care, dressing, and hygiene
    • Preparing breakfast
    • Walking and feeding a small dog (Frenchie/Pug mix)
  2. Weekday afternoon/evening shifts (4-5 days/week, 2-3 hours each, ad hoc):
    • Food preparation
    • Support for outings and appointments
    • Assistance with accessing community activities and services
  3. Weekend shifts (4-5 hours/day, ad hoc):
    • Ad hoc cleaning
    • Food preparation
    • Support for outings
    • Driving to Brighton and surrounding areas to see friends
    • Walking and feeding the dog
Additional Tasks:
  • Driving to appointments and activities
  • Support with makeup and hair as needed
  • Assisting with wheelchair use (pushing/lifting)
  • Providing emotional and practical support for health-related needs
  • Maintaining a clean, calm, and clutter-free home environment
