Salary: £54,130 per annum

We are seeking an inspiring Team Manager to join our Fostering Support & Development team within the vibrant Medway area of Kent. Main Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of social workers, ranging from experienced practitioners to newly qualified staff.
  • Build effective working relationships with other council services and partner agencies.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the council’s strategic vision for Children’s Social Care.
  • Provide high-quality supervision and ensure robust case management across the team.
  • Allocate cases within statutory timescales, ensuring needs are assessed and reviewed appropriately.
  • Support staff growth through the implementation of personalised performance development plans.
  • Monitor team performance and standards through regular data analysis and quality checks.
  • Supervise student placements and Newly Qualified Social Workers during their ASYE.
  • Assist with budget monitoring and authorisation of expenditures within agreed limits.
  • Support recruitment to maintain a well-resourced and skilled team.
  • Chair team meetings and stay current with relevant policies, legislation, and practice developments.
  • Act as deputy to the Group Manager and provide cover for fellow Team Managers when required.
