A local government authority in the United Kingdom is looking for a Principal Social Worker to lead a team of social workers and support staff. The role includes ensuring timely access to services and assessments while meeting national and local performance targets. This position is hybrid, requiring flexibility between home and the office. Under the direction of a Principal Social Worker to be responsible for leading a team of social workers and support staff in ensuring that access to services, assessments and reviews are completed timeously in line with national and local performance targets.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
