Leading your team, you will focus on the teams area of work, ensuring that work is prioritised and organised and that your team is fully skilled to meet objectives. As an effective Team Leader, you recognise the importance of the teams overall wellbeing and can motivate your team to succeed.
You will contribute to the delivery of operational, performance and service standard targets and provide statistical data for the management team and judiciary. Your keen eye for detail and desire for continuous improvement are key. You will monitor and analyse performance areas and trends, conduct ongoing reviews of procedures and work practices, and be able to recommend improvements, manage change and implement new initiatives and legislation.

New recruits to the Civil Service joining MoJ are expected to join at the band minimum. These operational roles are customer-facing and require successful applicants to be office-based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Standard full-time hours are 37 per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing patterns, subject to the demands of the role and business needs and agreed prior to appointment. Applications for part-time/flexible/job-sharing patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJ Flexible Working policy. For part-time hours, a minimum of 30 hours per week over 4 days may be considered.
This post is based at Leicester Combined Court, 90 Wellington Street, Leicester, LE1 6HG.
The MoJ offers Hybrid Working arrangements where possible. This is an informal, non-contractual form of flexible working. All employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in an office, subject to local estate capacity. Some roles may not be suitable for Hybrid Working. Arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate(s).
