Teaching Assistant (SEN Hub)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 32.5 hours, 39 weeks (term time plus one week)

Working pattern: 8.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: Pathway 3, £20,500 - £21,861 per annum (FTE £27,254 - £29,064) plus an additional allowance of £1,331

Site: Welbourne Primary Academy

Start date: 2nd March 2026

Your role:

As a Teaching Assistant in our SEN Hub, you’ll work closely with our dedicated team to support children with autism, helping them access learning and achieve their individual targets. You’ll plan and deliver tailored activities for individuals and small groups, under the guidance of hub teaching staff, and play a vital role in promoting inclusion across our school.

You’ll need experience working with children with autism and ideally hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or be working towards it). Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt learning activities are essential. Above all, you’ll share our commitment to safeguarding and to creating a positive, respectful environment where every child feels valued.
