Early Years Practitioner / Teaching Assistant - Level 3

2 Posts Available: 1 x Fixed Term (in the first instance) and 1 x Maternity Cover (Until 31st July 2026)

Contract Type: Term Time Only

Salary: Level 3 Hourly Rate £13.26 - £13.47

Working Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 30 hours per week (8.30am - 3.30pm)

Start Date: February 2026

We are seeking two passionate Early Years Practitioners or Teaching Assistants to join our Outstanding Early Years team. In this role, you will be a key worker in Nursery or Reception and will be responsible for creating engaging, high-quality learning experiences through play and interaction alongside the Early Years teachers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a key worker.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences through play and interaction.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues to support children's development and wellbeing.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
  • Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, intimate care, and transitions.
  • Contribute to planning meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A relevant qualification (such as a Level 3 Childcare, Teaching Assistant or NNEB) is desirable.
  • A good general standard of education including GCSE English and Maths to Grade C or equivalent.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.
