Overview

Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Level 2
Location: Oldham, Lancashire
Job Type: Full-time (8.30 AM - 3.30 PM)
Salary: £90 per day (PAYE)

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team in the vibrant community of Oldham, Lancashire. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic classroom environment, supporting the learning and development of students across a varied curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to individual students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
  • Work 1:1 with students, as required, to provide focused educational support or intervention.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
  • Prepare and organize resources and materials to support classroom activities.
  • Promote positive behavior and handle any disciplinary issues in accordance with school policies.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos, work, and aims of the school.
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Support children during lunch times and other non-structured times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience in a classroom-based setting is required.
  • Experience in a 1:1 SEND TA role for a minimum of 12 weeks.
