Job Duties:
  • Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials
  • Providing one-to-one support to students as needed
  • Supervising students during class or break times
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour control
Required Qualifications:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:

A relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.

Experience:

Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of child development and learning techniques
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good organisational skills
  • Patience and empathy when working with students
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment with children and young people. The working hours are full-time during school term times.
