Do you have a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We’re looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to work in welcoming, inclusive, and supportive primary schools across Sunderland. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support that helps every child thrive.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure pupils with SEND feel confident and included. You will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with special educational needs
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Encourage independence and build confidence in the classroom
  • Collaborate with staff and parents to create a positive learning environment
  • Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
