Job summary

A recruitment agency for education seeks a Primary Teaching Assistant to support classroom learning in Spalding. This full-time position involves helping children succeed academically and personally by working alongside teachers and supporting pupils in need. We are looking for reliable candidates who are enthusiastic about helping young learners progress, with experience in a school or care setting being preferred. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply is required.

Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Spalding and surrounding areas

Contract type: Agency, Full-time, term-time only

Pay: £88-£96 per day (based on 6.5 working hours)

About the role

Right Education are working closely with several welcoming primary schools across Spalding to recruit reliable, caring Teaching Assistants. These roles offer consistent, rewarding work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, helping children succeed both academically and personally.

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting classroom learning alongside the class teacher
  • Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who need extra support
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Assisting with classroom routines, preparation and interventions
  • Helping create a safe, supportive and engaging learning space
What we're looking for
  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school or care setting
  • A calm, patient and proactive approach
  • Genuine enthusiasm for helping young learners progress
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Suitable references covering the last 2 years
  • Right to work in the UK
