A leading education group in Shifnal is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support autistic pupils at Higford School. You’ll work with students to enhance their learning and emotional development, providing tailored support in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate is patient, adaptable, and has a full UK driving licence. This role offers a competitive salary and participation in a 4-Day Working Week trial.
How would you like to get paid for five days, but only work four?
At Outcomes First Group, we believe in better work/life balance — and we’re putting wellbeing first.
That’s why we’re proud to be part of a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours), while still receiving your full-time pay.
Many of our schools have already introduced the 4DWW — and others are preparing to roll it out as soon as they reach full staffing. So whether it’s already in place or just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to join #teamOFG.
All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS.
We’re growing – and we’re looking for a compassionate, committed, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the fantastic team at Higford School, part of Options Autism.
Our pupils are amazing young people, each with a diagnosis of Autism and often additional needs. With your support, they’ll grow in confidence, thrive in their learning, and achieve more than they ever imagined.
This is a deeply rewarding role where you’ll have a lasting impact on the lives of young people. Working directly with pupils, you’ll help them access education through tailored, person-centred support.
From preparing engaging learning materials and supporting classroom activities, to helping with emotional regulation and social development, you’ll ensure every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to learn.
No two days are the same—and that’s exactly what makes this role so rewarding.
