Job description

You will play a key role in both the academic and co‑curricular life of the school, encouraging high levels of participation and performance. The successful candidate will:

  • Teach engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3-5, with some Junior School provision
  • Lead and coach netball teams, alongside at least one other sport, across a range of age groups
  • Use assessment data thoughtfully to track progress, provide meaningful feedback and set individual targets
  • Contribute to departmental planning and the ongoing development of PE policy and practice
  • Act as a positive role model, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and conduct
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across both the Girls' and Boys' Schools to share best practice and enhance the pupil experience

Beyond the classroom Sport at Habs Girls extends well beyond timetabled lessons, and you will be central to the delivery of our broad and inclusive programme. This will include:

  • Leading lunchtime and after‑school clubs
  • Umpiring netball fixtures and officiating other sports as required
  • Supporting the organisation of inter‑house competitions, sports days and whole‑school community events
  • Promoting wellbeing, inclusion and safe practice in all activities

You will also be expected to ensure that all PE and Games activities are delivered in line with safeguarding and health and safety requirements, maintaining risk assessments and the safe use of facilities and equipment.
