If so, Southchurch High School could be your next career move. We are seeking an outstanding, ambitious, talented and passionate Music teacher to join our committed team of practitioners in delivering a curriculum which informs, transforms and generates a lifelong love of learning.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, supportive and hard-working Performing Arts department where you will play a vital role in fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and to help instil a love for all aspects of music among our students.

We would encourage applications from ECTs looking to secure a good, supportive school to complete their ECT journey, or someone early on in their career. It is essential for candidates to be able to teach Music at KS3 and KS4.

Information about the School

Southchurch High School is an oversubscribed 11-16 mixed comprehensive school. We are housed in a spacious, modern building, with a recently refurbished wing and a new 4 court Sports Hall. These developments have helped to give the School a very positive future. The school is near Southend town centre, Cliff Gardens and the seafront, with excellent transport links including nearby train stations and access to London.

Southend is a lively town with seven miles of seafront, Blue Flag beaches, a long pier, a busy shopping centre and diverse cultural offerings.
