A local education authority in Aberdeen City is seeking a passionate Teacher of French to deliver high-quality language education. The successful candidate will play a key role in teaching and supporting students through their educational journey in French and Spanish. This fixed-term position requires GTC Scotland registration and a commitment to fostering student well-being and success. We offer National Qualifications in French and Spanish at National 4 to Advanced Higher levels. We also offer a range of progression pathways for our young people through Languages for Life and Work Courses at SCQF Level 4 and Level 5.
The Modern Languages Faculty is committed to collegiate working, peer support, providing leadership opportunities and employing a range of teaching approaches to ensure the best outcomes for our young people.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
Salary for this post will be in accordance with SNCT agreements. Applicants must be or eligible to be fully GTC Scotland registered.
