Overview

St Andrew's is looking to appoint an outstanding maths specialist from April 2026, for the start of the Summer term. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is an enthusiastic professional, and who also works well in a team.

About the School

St Andrew's is a flourishing, forward‑thinking, co‑educational IAPS prep school preparing its 315+ pupils for a range of senior schools, both locally and nationally. A number of children win scholarships to their senior schools, moving on to the likes of Abingdon, Bradfield, St Edward's, Pangbourne, Downe House, Marlborough, The Oratory and Radley College.

Role Responsibilities

The post involves teaching Years 5-8, preparing pupils for a range of senior school assessments, including the Pre‑Senior Baccalaureate (PSB) and 13+ scholarship.

Qualifications and Skills

It would be advantageous if the post holder could offer extra‑curricular activities and/or have the ability to coach games. Applicants must be willing to undergo child‑protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and a successful enhanced DBS check with the Disclosure and Barring Services.
