The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Business Studies Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, inspiring students to develop entrepreneurial thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the modern business world.

You will play a key role in maintaining the department’s strong outcomes and reputation for engaging, high-quality teaching. This post would suit an experienced teacher or an early career teacher (ECT) with a passion for the subject and a desire to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Business Studies across KS4 and KS5, following relevant GCSE and A Level specifications.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations, ensuring strong progress and attainment.
  • Contribute to the development of engaging schemes of work and innovative teaching resources.
  • Use data to monitor progress and implement targeted interventions where needed.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity, independence, and collaboration.
  • Support the department’s enrichment programme through enterprise clubs, competitions, and school events.
  • Uphold the Catholic ethos of the school and contribute positively to its wider life and community.
About You
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies to GCSE and/or A Level (applications from ECTs are welcome).
  • Strong subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for promoting business educationli>
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate students and maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and professional growth.
